Flemington has a reputation for fashion, style and hospitality and this year Super Saturday the highlight of Flemington’s Festival of Racing has been transformed this year to include not only the seasons best quality racing including the Darley Australian Cup, Cadbury Guineas and the time honored Newmarket Handicap, but for the first time the inclusion of official events from the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
On Super Saturday Flemington brings together five of Melbourne’s most popular restaurants along with Executive Chef , Donovan Cooke from the Hong Kong Jockey Club that on the day will give you a chance to sample a range of signature dishes that they have become renound for in the relaxed and convivial environment of a day at the races.
As part of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, Super Saturday will feature POP UP Fashion Moments. A beautiful collection of four shows that capture the essence of one of Melbourne’s most exciting fashion precincts – Flemington Racecourse. These fashion vignettes, held in the Elms precinct, will present the latest Autumn racing fashion and will highlight the race wear collections and accessories of leading race wear designers.
The Flemington Festival of Racing offers a choice of dining and entertainment options, special events and family entertainment to suit everyone.

WORLD’S LONGEST LUNCH

Gather your favourite fellers and fillies, block out the afternoon and join over 1,000 other diners for the most fabulous World’s Longest Lunch yet!
This World’s Longest Lunch will be held in Melbourne’s most iconic location, around the grassy perimeter of the Flemington Racecourse and is an official event of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
Take your seat trackside at the elegantly laid table, mingle with 1,000 likeminded food lovers and feast on a superbly prepared three-course meal, matched perfectly with Brown Brothers Australian wines.

The Flemington Festival of Racing Fashion Lunch, has become a stand out event on the Victoria Racing Club’s event calendar and a highlight of the Flemington Festival of Racing.
The glamorous event this year is part of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival and will celebrate food, fashion and racing. The event will feature a fashion parade of the latest autumn racing collections by MYER and guests will be treated to a menu styled by special guest chef Donovan Cooke.
