Big Red Book Fair Appeal 2008: 21 & 22 June
We know there are some books you’ll love forever. It’s the other kind we’re after: those heavy political tomes covered in authentic 1970s dust; that untouched copy of Ulysses; the collected works of Jeffrey Archer; a priceless first edition of Cooking with Kurma. And, of course, anything printed in Moscow.
Then there are the books about people you hate. All that negative energy can’t be good for you. Try dumping everything you own with John Howard or George Bush’s face on it into a big box. Seal and deliver to the New International Bookshop. We guarantee your house will feel roomier and smell fresher!
And don’t forget, by donating you’ll not only help find a good book a new home – you’ll ensure we can continue to operate Australia’s finest Left bookstore.
